Tiramisu (English)

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 75 gram sugar
  • 125 gram cream cheese, if possible real italian mascarpone
  • 125 cc heavy cream
  • 100 cc strong black coffee
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar or icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cognac
  • 100 gram ladies fingers (dutch cookies)
  • cacao powder

Mix the egg yolks and the sugar in a metal bowl. Put the bowl in a pan with boiling water (au bain Marie) and lower the gas. Mix the egg yolks with an electric mixer until the mixture is white and creamy. Take the bowl out of the boiling water and let it cool down. Whip the cream until firm. Mix the cream cheese into the egg mixture and the whipped cream as well, spoon by spoon. Mix the coffee with powdered sugar and cognac. Take a square bowl and put one layer of cookies at the bottom. Sprinkle half of the coffee mixture on the cookies. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture on top of the cookies. Put a second layer of cookies in the bowl, sprinkle the rest of the coffee on the cookies and cover with the rest of the cream cheese mixture. Make the surface flat. Put the bowl into the refrigerator for at least two hours. Just before serving sprinkle the cacao powder on your dessert. I hope you will enjoy this recipe. If there are any problems, so let me know.
